The Building Evaluation Report (IEE), which replaced the former ITE (Technical Building Inspection), certifies the state of conservation of a building. In Palma, residential and non-residential buildings must submit it according to a schedule based on their construction date, and it is repeated every ten years. When the report finds defects, the owner or the homeowners' association must carry out the works needed to correct them.
According to Palma City Council, the deadline to apply for the permit, responsible declaration or prior notification for those works is June of the following year after the report is submitted, unless the technician sets a shorter deadline. That is why it is best to get the quote as soon as possible.
